The short version. Ask, and we delete it — profile, photos, messages, everything you told Spy. We do not make you argue with a retention flow.

Replying STOP is not deletion. STOP ends the text messages and leaves your data where it is. Use this page to remove the data.

You can delete your Spy account and its data at any time, for any reason, and you do not have to tell us why.

Email privacy@joinspy.ai with the subject "Account Deletion Request", from the email address on your account, and include the phone number you use with Spy. We verify that the account is yours before deleting anything — that check protects you from someone else deleting your account.

Text Spy and say you want your account deleted. It reaches a person, and we will confirm before acting.

What gets deleted

Your profile — name, username, age, gender, bio, photos, height, city and country, values, activities, your dream, your mood, your theme song, and any social links you added
Your personality result — your answers to the assessment and the type it produced
Your preferences — what you told Spy you are looking for
Your conversations — every message you sent or received through Spy, including your answers to the questions Spy asks
Your matches and any connections made through them
Your login credentials — the account itself

What we may keep, and for how long

Deletion completes in our live systems immediately. Residual copies sit in routine backups until those backups age out on their normal schedule, within 30 days; they are not used for anything in the meantime.

We keep a limited record in two cases, both because the law requires it:

Safety reports. If you reported someone, or someone reported you, we may keep that report so the other person's case is not erased with your account.
Text-message consent records. Federal law requires us to keep proof of when you consented to messages and when you opted out, for at least four years. That record is a phone number and two dates. It is never used to contact you.

Nothing retained is used to rebuild your profile or to reach you again.

There is no subscription to cancel. Spy is free — no tiers, no paid upgrades, nothing billed to you or to an app store. Deleting your account leaves nothing behind to pay for.
